Many "reclaimed" or "salvaged" fireplace mantel pieces look reclaimed, but aren’t the real thing. The result is that they don’t project the right mood into your space. They feel flat and inauthentic. But genuine reclaimed wood gives you a centerpiece for your home that’s full of soul. 

We work with our suppliers to bring you only the most beautiful solid wood beams, carefully refurbished as mantels. Each mantel is completely unique. So you know you’re getting a home accent that will help set you apart. Plus, reclaimed wood is a more sustainable alternative to mantels made from new lumber or man-made materials. This is a high-impact design upgrade with low impact for the environment.

Here's what sets our reclaimed mantels apart:  

• They're one-of-one—no two are alike and quantities are extremely limited. Right now we have just eight mantels available.  
• They're solid and substantial, coming from ceiling and structural beams. 
• Each one features unique points of interest like joint notches, nail holes, and other authentic markers of their history. 
• They're heat treated to be suitable for interior use. 

The Finishes 

Band sawn 

A single saw blade between two wheels leaves a slightly rough texture--ideal for a subtler take on the reclaimed look. 

Circular sawn 

Circular saw marks create a distinctive look that tells everyone it's reclaimed. This sought-after look is ideal for mountain western, rustic, or modern farmhouse interiors. 

Hand hewn 

This texture comes from the use of an axe to turn raw lumber into a squared-up shape. Hand hewing is an ancient woodworking technique. It creates an atmosphere like no other.  

Reclaimed Mantel Maintenance 

Reclaimed wood mantels are super easy to maintain. Simply dust them with a damp cloth as part of your regular tidying routine. We’ve sealed them with a natural wood wax that will add some protection against water damage. You may choose to refresh this sealant with a wood conditioner every 2-3 years as needed.
