RealCraft Exterior Door Warranty

2 Year Limited Warranty

RealCraft warrants that the nonglass components of its exterior doors shall be free of manufacturing defects in material or workmanship that significantly impair their proper operation and function for (2) two years from the date of delivery. Should the warranted door be found to contain defects in materials or workmanship as installed in its original door opening occurring within two (2) years of the date of delivery, RealCraft shall, at its sole option, repair or replace said defects. This Limited Warranty extends to the owner of the structure in which the products are originally installed and is fully transferable.

Insulated Glass Units

For any IGUs sold for installation, our glass supplier Hartung Glass Industries (hereafter referred to as “HGI”) warrants that its dual seal insulating glass will be free from any defective workmanship in the manufacture and production of such IGUs. Should any IGU sold to customer develop a substantial obstruction of vision from dust, film or moisture formation between sealed panes of glass due to the failure of the perimeter seal, HGI warrants that it will replace the IGU(s) if such condition is caused by defective materials or workmanship. This warranty be for ten (10) years from the sale date subject to the terms and condition of this Standard Limited Warranty as outlined herein.

Heat Treated Glass

HGI warrants its tempered and heat strengthened glass to meet the requirements of ASTM C1048 for a period of one (1) year from the date of manufacture. Tempered glass is manufactured to comply with requirements listed in ANSI Z97.1, CPSC 16CFR1201 (Category I or II), and CAN/CGSB-12.1-M90.

For glass exclusions and limitations, see the complete Hartung Glass Warranty.

  1. Doors must be installed with adequate protection from exposure, with an overhang extending outward a distance equal to one half its height from the bottom of the door to the overhang, to be covered by this warranty.
  2. Any deterioration caused by failing to fully finish and seal the door within 14 days of delivery is not covered by this warranty. For continued coverage, the finish needs to be maintained yearly.

Most finishes on exterior doors deteriorate relatively quickly. To ensure exterior doors receive the necessary protection, inspect the condition of exterior finish at least once a year and refinish as often as needed to maintain the efficacy of the finish.

All doors shall be shipped and stored vertical (not leaning).

Bow, twist, and warp shall not be considered defects unless in excess of ¼ inches in the plane of the door. Action on claims for bow, warp, or twist may be deferred at RealCraft’s option for a period of up to (12) twelve months after installation to allow the door to adapt to temperature and humidity conditions.

The exclusive remedy of the buyer or user, and the sole liability of RealCraft for any and all claims, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from the sale, installation or use of these products shall be, at the option of RealCraft, the repair or replacement of the product as provided herein.
