RealCraft Exterior Door Warranty

2 Year Limited Warranty

RealCraft warrants that the non-glass components of its exterior doors
shall be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship that
significantly impair their proper operation and function for a period of two
(2) years from the date of delivery.

If a defect in materials or workmanship is identified within this period,
and the product has been installed in its original opening, RealCraft will, at
its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective component.

This Limited Warranty extends to the original owner and is transferable
to subsequent owners of the structure in which the product is installed.

Insulated Glass Units (IGUs)

Insulated glass units are covered under the warranty provided by our
glass supplier, Hartung Glass Industries (HGI). HGI warrants that its insulated
glass units will be free from defects in materials and workmanship that result
in visible obstruction (such as moisture, film, or dust between panes) for a
period of ten (10) years from the date of sale subject to the terms and
conditions of this Standard Limited Warranty as outlined herein.

Heat-Treated Glass

Tempered and heat-strengthened glass is warranted by HGI to meet ASTM
C1048 and applicable safety standards for a period of one (1) year from the
date of manufacture. This glass complies with requirements listed in ANSI
Z97.1, CPSC 16CFR1201 (Category I or II), and CAN/CGSB-12.1-M90.

For full details, refer to the Hartung Glass Warranty.

Important Requirements for Warranty
Coverage

To maintain warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:

Overhang / Exposure Protection

Doors must be installed with adequate overhead protection from sun and weather.
Where an overhang is located directly above the door, it must project outward a
minimum distance equal to 40% of the height measured from the bottom of the
door to the overhang. Overhangs located significantly above the door opening
may not provide sufficient protection, regardless of projection.

Finishing and Maintenance

Doors must be fully finished and sealed on all sides within fourteen (14) days
of delivery. Finishes must be maintained regularly, with inspection at least
annually and refinishing performed as needed to maintain protection.

Finish and Color Limitations

Doors finished in dark colors (Light Reflectance Value (LRV) below 25),
including black, are not covered under this warranty due to increased surface
heat from sun exposure and the associated risk of movement and finish failure.

Light Reflectance Value (LRV) is a measure of how much light a color
reflects; lower values indicate darker colors that absorb more heat.

Warp Policy

Bow, warp, or twist shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds ¼
inch within any 3' x 7' section of the door, measured in the plane of the door.

Warp shall be measured with the door installed in its opening and in a
closed position, using a straightedge applied across the surface of the door at
the point of greatest deviation.

Due to the natural characteristics of wood, some movement is expected as
the door responds to changes in temperature and humidity, particularly
following installation. Movement within the tolerance described above is not
considered a defect.

For doors exceeding standard dimensions, additional movement may occur
due to increased size and weight. Evaluation of such doors will take into
account door size, configuration, and installation conditions.

RealCraft reserves the right to defer evaluation of warp-related claims
for up to twelve (12) months after installation to allow the door to acclimate
to in-service conditions.

Handling and Storage

Doors must be stored and handled properly prior to installation. All doors shall be stored in a vertical position (not leaning) and protected from
moisture and environmental exposure.on here.

Limitations of Remedy

This warranty is the sole and exclusive
remedy and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including
any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

The exclusive remedy under this warranty is repair or replacement of the
product, at RealCraft’s discretion.

RealCraft shall not be liable for:

  • labor or
    installation costs
  • finishing or
    refinishing costs
  • damage to
    surrounding materials
  • incidental or
    consequential damages

In
no event shall RealCraft’s liability exceed the original purchase price of the
product
