How and Why Our Custom Brand is Changing 

Reserve used to be called Real Carriage Doors, which had its own separate website. That's how RealCraft started, and as we added sliding hardware and more standardized doors to our product offering, those ended up on realcraft.com while the old company name stayed alive on our old website. But having two websites for one company ended up being confusing. And the custom department of the business has made more than just carriage doors for many years. The custom side of our business has been making specialty doors, historical replicas, and other completely unique doors for so long that calling it Real Carriage Doors no longer made sense. 

So now the custom department of our business has a new name: Reserve. And everything you need to know about Reserve is here on realcraft.com under the Custom tab.

When our founder Don Rees first started Real Carriage Doors over twenty years ago, his mission was always to lead a return to true craftsmanship. To build unique doors for unique, distinctive homes. That same motivation still animates us today. What started as one craftsman building custom carriage doors on nights and weekends is now a community of artisans with extraordinary expertise.

We can source rare wood from around the world, and we work with local artisans to fashion custom glass, hand-wrought hardware, and more. We can also source sought-after specialty hardware from our network of premium, American-made partners. Reserve is the height of luxury for the most discerning and creative homeowners.
