We offer flat track hardware, box rail hardware, and architectural hardware. Here are the main differences and features of the three types.
- Flat track: The track itself is a flat, rectangular shape. Hangers attach to the doors, with exposed wheels that roll on the track. With flat track, the big design feature is the shape of the hangers. You can go for our Classic hangers, or something sleek and top-mounted like Aero. Or you can go rustic with our Horseshoe flat track. We also have heavy duty and exterior flat tracks.
- Box rail: Box rail sliding door tracks have an enclosed box shaped track. Inside the track, a trolley rolls back and forth. The trolleys are top-mounted to the doors for a low profile final look. Box rail hardware has its origins in industrial applications. It’s an extremely stable, low-maintenance option well-suited to rustic or industrial décor styles. Box rail is appropriate for interior and exterior applications since its moving parts are concealed from the elements.
- Architectural: our architectural styles are our most design-forward sliding door hardware kits. They include a cylindrical rod (Swiss Rod) and a hexagon-shaped rod (Hexagonal Bar). These hardware kits offer a luxurious touch and whisper-quiet operation.
