At RealCraft Carriage Doors we put quality and craftsmanship above all else. From the moment you call us to the day your door is installed, we're here to make your dream doors a reality. Our handcrafted carriage and entry doors have been featured in some of the most popular TV shows and magazines in the industry. Each carriage door is made from premium wood and built by skilled artisans in the Pacific Northwest.
Our sliding Craftsman Cross Window Interior Glass Barn Door Design features a cross pattern with two individual glass panels on top of the door creating a window. It offers a traditional and elegant look, and more natural light wherever you use it. Available with two glass panel styles, and either flat or raised panels.
The Craftsman Cross Window Barn Door design features a cross-shaped construction emphasizing symmetry and balance. A center bar covers two-thirds of the door's body, with two individual solid wood panels on each side of the plank. The top portion features a center bar with two separate glass panels, one on each side of the center bar. The glass windows add a halo of natural light and an open, welcoming feeling. Choose from flat panels for a clean, simple look, or raised panels for added dimension and visual interest. However you choose to customize it, this barn door is a proudly traditional design that will make your space feel classic and sophisticated.
With its traditional look and construction, the Craftsman Cross Window Sliding Barn Door makes a perfect complement to many popular decor styles. It will work particularly well with:
Vintage Décor
Traditional Décor
Victorian Décor
Transitional Décor
The Craftsman Cross Window Sliding Barn Door doesn't only look good. It also frees up floor space and makes narrow hallways or small spaces more accessible than a swinging door. Some common applications for sliding barn doors include:
Kitchen or Pantry
Bedroom
Laundry Room
Office
The Craftsman Cross Window Sliding Barn Door can be used for standard sliding door applications, bi-parting (double), or bypassing systems. Pair your barn door with RealCraft sliding hardware for a cohesive result. For this door, the top-mounted Aero or linear, elegant Classic Flat Track are customer favorites.
Wood Species
We offer the most complete and robust collection of wood species in the market, including twenty beautiful and responsibly sourced options. We offer wood species for every taste and budget. Explore budget-friendly options as well as exotic species. Popular choices for this barn door include:
Knotty Alder
Rustic Walnut
Cherry
Maple
The wood species will play an essential role in your barn door's final look, so consider multiple options. Can't find the wood species you are looking for? We can source custom wood species upon request!
Keep in mind that wood is (and will always be) a living, natural material with unique properties. Every wood species is unique and will react differently to different humidity and temperature conditions. If you have questions about what wood species would work better for your application, email us at info@realcraft.com
Glass Options
Another key element for your door's overall look and privacy is the glass option. Remember to consider privacy when selecting the glass for your door. Choose the standard clear glass for a fully transparent look or the etched option for a frosted finish.
Skilled artisans make all our doors by hand onsite in Gig Harbor, a small seaport town on the Puget Sound in Washington State.
For frequently asked questions about choosing a door and hardware see our FAQ page.If you're not sure what species is right for your space, or want to see the wood in person, you canorder samples here.
Please note that doors will ship separately from sliding hardware when purchased together. Doors are pictured with hardware for context. Sliding hardware is sold separately, and not included with the purchase of a door. Doors are not pre-drilled for hardware. If you order a door and a hardware kit, we are unable to ship hardware installed on doors due to the risk of damage in transit.
We designed these doors with interior applications in mind. We don't recommend exterior use, andcan't guarantee against warping or damageif you install your door outside. To have this door specially crafted for exterior use, call us at 1-253-853-3815 and we’ll be happy to help!
If you wish to customize the door even further, we can make your dream door a reality! Please understand that customization will add to the lead time. If you need more than 10 doors, or if your project requires special consideration, please call 1-253-853-3815.
Financing
We’re proud to offer Shop Pay Installments! Buy today and pay in 4 or more payments starting at 0% APR. If you finance your purchase with Affirm (Shop Pay Installments), your first payment is due approximately two weeks after your purchase is finalized. Please note that due to extended delivery times, your loan payment(s) may be due before you receive your purchase.
When determining the size of your barn door, we recommend that the door overlaps the doorway to minimize gaps and provide some sound-muffling for privacy. An inch of overlap on each side is a good rule of thumb for barn doors. For example, a 36” x 80” doorway would need a 38” x 81” sliding barn door. If you would like more sound sealing, then a 2-inch overlap on either side is best. To make sure it looks as intentional as possible, your barn door should also completely cover any molding on the door opening when closed. So if you have molding, you’ll need to factor that into your measurements as well.
RealCraft offers twenty different wood species from budget-friendly to exotic and rare. One of the reasons we love real wood so much is that it carries the character of its natural habitat. Wood species respond differently to humidity and temperature conditions. If you aren't sure which wood species to pick, call us at 1-253-853-3815.
We recommend adding a clear finish to your door to protect it and ensure that it is eligible for coverage under our warranty.A clear finish not only protects your door, it also enhances the door’s beauty while preserving its natural, unique texture. Clear finish brings out the color and detail of the wood grain.
We offer the following finish options:
White Primer: Added to Paint Grade Hardwood. For this option, we use only high-quality hardwoods like European Beech or Red Grandis. These species provide a smooth surface for paint.
Clear Satin EuroFinish by Osmo: A premium hand-rubbed hardwax oil that conditions, seals, and finishes the wood.
Oil Stain EuroFinish by Osmo: A premium hand-rubbed hardwax oil that stains, seals, and finishes the wood.
Check out our Wood Species Visualizer below to compare the raw wood with finished wood and explore our wood species options. Slide the toggle to the left for unfinished wood, and slide the toggle to the right for wood finished with Clear Satin EuroFinish.
