Open Positions  

Production Craftsman/Craftswoman

If you have hands-on experience working with wood, and enjoy making authentic, beautiful products, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll help us build the beautiful, high-quality doors that we proudly offer to architects and designers across the country. Positions are available at different skill levels, from beginner to advanced.


From our 16,000 square foot facility, we handcraft and ship beautiful interior and exterior barn doors and sliding door hardware throughout the United States and Canada. We are committed to excellence in materials, craftsmanship, and service. This is the closest you can get to an authentic woodshop environment.

If you have some solid woodworking experience and you want to work indoors with your hands and learn a solid trade in a strong team environment, this is the perfect job for you.

This position requires the following duties:

  • Assist Lead Carpenters in creating custom wood doors
  • Machining door component parts, as well as assembly and finishing
  • With training, you will be also responsible for material selection, processing parts for assembly, sanding, hardware prep, finishing and crating.
  • Familiarity with standard hand tools and woodshop tools (table saw, planer, joiner, sanders, etc.) is preferable. Ideal qualifications for this position include:
  • Able to work as a member of your team
  • Reliable and timely attendance
  • Able to show initiative and problem solve
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Manual dexterity with hand tools


This is a full-time position (Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-4:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am-2:00 pm) in Gig Harbor, Washington. Compensation is dependent on experience with benefits after 60 days. This position has the potential for advancement with skill development and responsibility.

Shipping Carpenter

If you enjoy working with wood and would like the opportunity to gain some carpentry skills, we’d like to meet you. We have an entry-level position available for a person interested in woodworking to build the shipping crates for our doors.

If you have beginning woodshop experience and want to work with your hands and learn a solid trade in a strong team environment, this is the perfect job for you. Ultimately, you’ll help us send out the beautiful, high-quality doors that we proudly offer to architects and designers across the country.

From our 16,000 square foot facility, we handcraft and ship beautiful interior and exterior barn doors and sliding door hardware throughout the United States and Canada. We are committed to excellence in materials, craftsmanship, and service. Innovation and teamwork are of the utmost importance. This is the closest you can get to an authentic woodshop environment. We work with pure wood materials, no composite/resin or plastic materials.

This carpentry crating position would require handling the following duties:

  • Build wood crates for shipment of our doors
  • Check for accuracy of each shipment
  • Inspect shipped products for quality control
  • Coordinate with sales and shop personnel


Ideal qualifications for this position include:

  • Able to work as a member of your team
  • Reliable and timely attendance
  • Able to show initiative and problem solve
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, as well as bend and kneel frequently
  • Manual dexterity with hand tools
  • Preferable is some familiarity with standard hand tools and woodshop tools such as nail guns, table saw, staple guns, chop saw, etc.

Custom Design Consultant
RealCraft is looking to add another Custom Design Consultant to our sales team. This person works with designers and architects across the country, helping to translate a client’s ideas into functional and beautiful door designs. A person who loves the challenge of creative design and has the aptitude to close sales will thrive in this position. Computer and phone skills are paramount. CADD drawing skills are appreciated but not required.

From our 16,000 square foot facility, we handcraft and ship beautiful interior and exterior barn doors and sliding door hardware throughout the United States and Canada. We are committed to excellence in materials, craftsmanship, and service.

Custom Design Consultant requirements:
  • Communicating with potential customers via telephone and in-person
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of door and hardware products
  • Assisting customers with product selection and operation
  • Preparing pricing quotes
  • Follow-up with leads via phone and email
  • Checking details on orders and invoices
  • Clerical/computer skills (office/phones) to provide and update sales database and customer

Ideal qualifications for this position include:
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite-Word, Excel, Outlook...and CADD skills a plus
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain high levels of organization
  • Collaborative skills to coordinate with other departments
  • Previous sales experience helpful

Commercial Design Consultant

RealCraft is seeking to welcome a Commercial Design Consultant to our sales team. From our 16,000 square foot facility, we handcraft and ship beautiful interior and exterior barn doors and sliding door hardware throughout the United States and Canada. This Consultant will build relationships with interior designers, builders, and suppliers across the country who will benefit from using RealCraft’s beautiful hardware and doors.


A successful Commercial Design Consultant will be an expert communicator who has a firm grasp of RealCraft products, along with knowledge of the door and hardware industry as a whole. A person who loves building rapport with businesses and has the aptitude to close sales will thrive in this position. Computer & phone skills are paramount. CADD drawing skills are appreciated but not required.

This is a full-time position (typically Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm). Part-time and flexible schedules may be considered. Compensation is hourly pay with a substantial commission structure, along with benefits after 60 days. A background check is required for qualified applicants.

Commercial Design Consultant skillset:

  • Ability to network, consult and form relationships by building rapport with clients
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our products
  • Consulting with designers and builders on product selection
  • Completing client follow-ups via email and telephone
  • Preparing pricing quotes and bid work for commercial job sites
  • Collaborating well with other departments
  • Computer skills (MS Office/phones)
  • Innovative prospecting skills to generate new business


Ideal qualifications for this position include:

  • Experienced communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • CADD skills are a plus but not required
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Organized, presentable, and professional demeanor
