Looking for bypass hardware that’s both beautiful and functional? We’ve got you covered. This double barn door hardware kit is based off the design of our Classic Flat Track but in a bypass configuration. Choose from Classic, Prop, or Aero Style hangers. Classic and Prop hangers attach to the front of the door, and Aero attaches to the top of the door, for a lower-profile look.

What’s a bypass configuration? One in which the doors slide past one another. This door configuration takes up less space than double swinging doors, offering an elegant solution for tighter spaces. When closed, the doors stack on top of each other, so it’s more compact than swinging doors and bi-parting barn doors.

Bypassing doors work best for concealing large openings, such as closets, office nooks, and openings between kitchens and dining rooms (just to name a few). Have an extra-large opening you wish to cover? You can add more than two doors for a ‘cascading’ look.

Bypassing doors do not provide as much of a sound seal as standard bi-parting systems because the top door sits further away from the wall. For this reason we do not recommend a bypass system for applications where privacy is needed.

Please also bear in mind that bi-parting bypassing door configurations are not recommended as it is not advisable to install a floor guide in the middle of the door opening if the doors will not be in contact with it when opened.
