By now, you probably already noticed that we are entirely in love with our new wood butcher block countertops. You probably also noticed that we are always on the lookout for ways to make our products highly customizable so thatyou can build the product of your dreams!
With that in mind, we just came up with a new customization option for our wood butcher block countertops! You can now choose yourconstruction style.
From left to right: Standard Face Edge, Linear End Grain, Mosaic End Grain
We currently offer three different options: Standard Face Edge, Linear End Grain, and Mosaic End Grain. Each of these three new options for your countertop design has its own unique look and pattern. You can now pick the design that most matches your project and make your countertop or kitchen island even more personalized and unique.
Please note that the patterns on the final product will slightly vary based on the wood species.

How to build your Countertop online at RealCraft.com
Ordering your butcher block countertop is very easy, and you can place your order with just a few clicks! Our online ordering process is very straightforward, and you can finalize your purchase with these six steps:
- Wood Species and Construction Style
- Countertop Dimensions
- Edge Style
- Countertop Finish
- Additional Options
Let’s quickly go over all these steps and what they mean, shall we?
Before anything else, you have to go to our website at realcraft.com. On the home page, you can directly click on the “Butcher Block Countertops” tile. You can also get to the countertops page by going thought the top navigation under Home Improvement > Butcher Block Countertops. On this landing page, you will find details and pictures of our countertops!
Step 1. Select the Construction Style and Wood Species
On the first step, you will be prompted to select your Construction Style and your favorite wood Specie. We currently offer 22 beautiful wood options: Knotty Alder, European Beech, American Ash, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Douglas Fir Wide Grain, Reclaimed Douglas Fir, Knotty Rustic Walnut, Sapele Mahogany, White Oak Plain Sawn, Douglas Fir tight Grain, Reclaimed Redwood, Padauk, Purple Heart, Premium Walnut, White Oak Quarter Sawn, Bubinga, Wenge, Afromosia, Zebra Wood, and Teak! All wood species have their own unique characteristics, and the price between them varies, so there’s a gorgeous wood species for all budgets.
Step 2. Enter Your Countertop Dimensions and Sink Cutout
The second step is mostly about the dimensions of your butcher block countertop. In this step, you will enter the width, length, thickness, and if you would like us to make a sink cut out!
You will choose the measurements by clicking on the number and sliding it to the right or left for your countertop’s width and length. On the website, you will just be able to enter a max of 60 inches for width and 108 inches for the size. If you would like anything bigger, please give us a toll-free call at 1-800-694-5977 to discuss details and get a custom quote.
After that, you will select the thickness of your countertop. We currently offernine differentthickness options varying from1.5 inches to 5 inches!
The last option in this section is selecting if you would like a sink or range cut out. You will choose yes on this option to let us know if you would like any kind of hole or personalized cut on your countertop. If you select yes, it is probably a good idea to contact us to coordinate the exact details.
Step 3. Select Your Edge Style
On the third step, you will indicate what edge style you would like for all the four edges of your countertop! You can mix and match the edges and get different styles for the different countertop sides, as shown in the image above.
There are six different edge styles available: round over, bullnose, chamfered, roman ogee, small roman ogee, and eased! All edges have their appeal and look, so you can pick those that better matches your design aesthetic.
Step 4. Select Your Countertop Finish
The fourth step could not be more uncomplicated! You will select whether you want a finish option or not.
At RealCraft, we use Osmo Food-Safe Hardwax Oil on our countertops. Osmo is a plant-based, non-toxic hardwax oil finish that is entirely food-safe, water repellent, extremely tough, and hard-wearing. It is hand-rubbed and provides a breathable, smooth exterior that conditions and protects the wood from liquid spillages and stains.
It is important to note that if you select “no finish,” we cannot warranty the countertop as the wood finish is the layer protection that will prevent your damage and ensure the product’s longevity.Learn more about Osmo Wood Finishes.
Step 5. Additional Options
The fifth and final step is selecting whether you want anOsmo Maintenance Oilor not. For practicality reasons, we offer the three recommend oil options for your countertop’s maintenance over time.
On this final step, you will also be able to see your countertop’s final price before checking out.
