3/4 Glass Sliding French Barn Doors feature a sturdy base with 8 beautiful French style glass panes. The glass window covers three quarters of the door face, while the bottom features a solid wood panel. Uniting the classic and the contemporary, this French barn door adds cool elegance to any space.
The 3/4 Glass Sliding French Barn Door offers a subtle update on the traditional full-panel French door. Just like the name suggests, three quarters of the door face is made up of eight individual glass panes for an authentic Old-World look. The bottom panel is a flat solid wood panel; raised panels are available upon request.
We've made our French sliding door collection to be a blend of old and new. We've kept the individual leaded glass panels and solid wood construction, but added a cleaner, more streamlined look and the space saving functionality of sliding barn doors. It's a French door designed to be as distinctive and bold as you are.
Sliding barn doors save an average of ten square feet of floor space compared to swinging doors. This means that you can open up narrow spaces in your home, making them more accessible. Or you can simply open up an area just because you think it would look better. Since a sliding barn door is visible whether open or closed, choosing one in a classic, well-proportioned style is the key to making it feel intentional in a space.
Sliding barn doors with glass are superb options for spaces like kitchens, playrooms, and living rooms, that require less privacy and benefit from increased natural light. The ¾ French Glass Door design style works with a variety of decoration design styles, including:
Shabby Chic Décor
Classic Décor
Victorian Décor
Traditional Décor
Pair it with your favorite hardware kit for a even more cohesive look. For a door this refined, we recommend the subtle, top-mounted Aero kit.
Wood Species
RealCraft is proud to offer twenty different wood species, from exotic options to classic domestic hardwoods. Here are some customer favorites for this barn door design:
Walnut
Quarter Sawn White Oak
Knotty Alder
Sapele Mahogany
Glass Options
Another crucial element of this door's finished look is the glass style. The ¾ French Glass Sliding Barn Door barn door design features 1.5" thick genuine leaded glass. It comes in your choice of transparent glass or Crystal Etched glass which has a frosted look for a little more privacy.
Skilled artisans make all our doors by hand onsite in Gig Harbor, a small seaport town on the Puget Sound in Washington State.

Financing
We’re proud to offer Shop Pay Installments! Buy today and pay in 4 or more payments starting at 0% APR. If you finance your purchase with Affirm (Shop Pay Installments), your first payment is due approximately two weeks after your purchase is finalized. Please note that due to extended delivery times, your loan payment(s) may be due before you receive your purchase.
When determining the size of your barn door, we recommend that the door overlaps the doorway to minimize gaps and provide some sound-muffling for privacy. An inch of overlap on each side is a good rule of thumb for barn doors. For example, a 36” x 80” doorway would need a 38” x 81” sliding barn door. If you would like more sound sealing, then a 2-inch overlap on either side is best. To make sure it looks as intentional as possible, your barn door should also completely cover any molding on the door opening when closed. So if you have molding, you’ll need to factor that into your measurements as well.
We highly recommend adding a clear finish to your door to protect it and make sure that it is eligible to be covered by our warranty. A clear finish not only protects your door, it also enhances its beauty and brings out the color and detail of the grain. Visit our wood species page to learn more.
We offer the following finish options:
White Primer: Added to Paint Grade Hardwood. For this option, we use only high-quality hardwoods like European Beech or Red Grandis. These species provide a smooth surface for paint.
Clear Satin Eurofinish: A high-end hand-rubbed hardwax oil that conditions, seals, and finishes the wood.
Oil Stain EuroFinish: A high-end hand-rubbed hardwax oil that stains, seals, and finishes the wood.
